This was such a fun engagement session. The groom-to-be and his bride are fantastic people. They kept us laughing the whole time. They were even kind enough to bring along their fur-child, Emma. I am so glad Emma did not eat that group of small children! That would have been hard to explain to their parents.
I should start by saying that I have been very blessed this holiday season. I have been extremely busy. Since I am still a mom and my children still want food, my blog has suffered. So, I am going to show you a little of what I have been up to. I promise to continue to update over the next couple of days.
I have met some fantastic people and have enjoyed finding new ways to make people look at me. Just yesterday, I had to bark like a dog. There is no room for shame when you are a children’s photographer!
In the season of families, I was fortunate enough to get to photograph an engagement session. This great couple is getting married in Sweden on January 10th. I wish them much luck in their future. I pray that God will bless them with many wonderful years of marriage.
I do love the girls! I love the cute outfits and the great hair. In the end, I am just a mom of boys. I loved these guys. They were such boys. The following is what I must sometimes go through before I get the real smiles. Thanks for the laughs, guys.
I have been so lucky to photograph some great kids lately! Last weekend was no exception. These three kids were so great. They laughed at my dumb jokes and made my job very easy. I was even treated to a great conversation with a 4 year old.
I love this time of year for so many reasons. The weather is finally starting to cool off, the rains come and clean the air and I get to meet so many new people. I love meeting new families and chatting with them. I was able to meet with the L family last week. The kids were great and the parents were patient. It was a great combination. Here are a few from the session.
Boys are a lot of fun, but is always a special treat when a girl is thrown into the mix. I am able to shoot my comfort zone, but also venture to the land of long hair girly laughter. This particular family is a great group to work with. They were great fun and a very special to me!
In my family of all boys, I am quite use to shooting boys. When I get a client that has all boys, I am in my comfort zone. Boys bring a certain level of energy to a photo shoot. This group was no exception. I had a great time with them. I hope their mother has recovered!
In this first photo, the true feelings were shining through. I was not doing a good job of entertaining them. Thankfully, they were willing to humor later in the day.
I was able to visit with Jackson on Monday. He was such a smooshy little guy. He had a great time peeing on all of my stuff. In the end, we got some great pictures of him.
Normally, Monday mornings are spent cleaning my house. Since my kids are home all weekend, my house usually needs some care on Monday.
Today, I had a special treat. Little Miss Em was a complete doll baby. She was so much fun to work with and I totally enjoyed her. We went on several different adventures through her yard. She was an excellent hostess! It was a great way to start my week.
